Don't forget to check our blog regularly!!!
We have started a blog at Blogger.com! Check it regulary! While we are Live Journal fans, the blog is another great tool, espically for those who don't us lj.
It is easier for us to use lj to ask questions and get responses, but it's easier to use the blog as a running documentary on the making of the movie. We're going to start posting to the blog more often, so bookmark it and check it.http://joezombiemovie.blogspot.com

Thanks to everyone who came to the call out party last night. We had a really good time and hope that you did to.
To those who didn't show up: If you still want to be involved, please keep in contact. This event was only the first of it's kind.
So, everyone, thanks again for all your help and support so far. Keep telling your friends, enimies, 5th cousin twice removed and anyone else you know.

(sent as email)
We're calling ya'll out! That's right, we will be having a call out
party to see who is interested and what everyone is interested in
doing. We want to get everyone in one place to talk and answer
questions. Many of you we have met in person at on time or another,
but many don't know us and have just been dealing with us via email
The party will be on Wednesday, June 1st at 7:00 pm (don't worry if
you're a little late). The address is 1200 E. Hillside. It is a
white house on the hill (southeast corner) at the intersection of
Hillside and Olive, across the street from the Boulders. There will
be Rum on hand, but no underage drinking, please. We'll see what we
can do about some snack food, but seeing as how we are poor, I make no
We will be answering questions and probably asking quite a few, so
bring any thoughts you may have with you.
We would also appreciate it if everyone, either attending or not,
could reply to this email so that we can get a rough estimation of how
many people we are looking for. If you can't make it, please send a
separate email to this email@example.com letting us know what
your availability looks like for summer so that one of us can contact
you at a time more convenient time.

There will be an update email...
There will be another mass email sent out tomorrow, so if you haven't sent an email to firstname.lastname@example.org, do it now.
We will also be attempting to set up a call out for everyone who has shown interest so far sometime next week.

The things I forget to say when I'm in a hurry could fill a book...
I should probably have mentioned a few things in the intro post, but, well, I often get ahead of myself. First, we plan on shooting this summer. The majority of the work will be done during the weekends since nearly all of us have full time jobs. We think that we can shoot everything in 6 to 8 weekends. Post production may last as much as a year, so it probably be out late spring of '06. Second, none of us have ever done anything like this before. We are learning as we go. Third, ARE going to make this movie and it IS going to be good.
I will fill everyone in on the plot details by the end of the weekend. Hopefully, I will also be able to give out first drafts of the script.
Some lessons are more fun than others...
Well, after working a solid 3 and 1/2 hours work on the script tonight, we learned an important lesson: make sure the auto-save feature is on. I say again: MAKE SURE YOU SAVE YOUR WORK, AND MAKE SURE THE AUTO SAVE IS ON. Friends, Romans, Deadmen and Deadwomen, we just lost a lot of work.
JW may try to re-write it tonight, otherwise we will do it tomorrow afternoon. Current Mood: chipper

Hard at work on the script
We are hard at work on the script right now. We hope to be finished with the first draft by late Sunday night. As soon as we get there, we'll e-mail a copy out to anyone who wants to help edit and rewrite. I would love to give a synopsis of the plot, but I really don't know how until we get done with the script.
I'm going to try to send out an explaination of our zombie's in the next couple of days. We, of course, have created our own set of zombie behavior rules.
This is the intro post to to the Joe's Zombie Movie LJ Community. This is one way that we are going to try to keep everyone posted on the progress of the movie as well as a place for us to beg for help. So, HELP!!!!!!!!! Join! Tell your friends to join! Tell what you can do. Tell us what you want to learn. Tell us how to do things better. Advertise for us. We need people.
Uncle Joe wants YOU!!!
Do you have expirence in script writing, editing, camera work, acting, gore, effects, etc.? Have you ever wanted to be a bloody undead mess on screen? Do you have an inner survivor waiting to come out? We need you to make this project happen.
So please, tell your friends. For that matter, tell your enimies. We really want to make this happen, and we want to make it good. The more volunteers that we can get, faster we will be in production and the better the movie will be.
So, not to beg, but HELP!!!!!! Current Mood: optimistic
